Rae Amitay

Rae Amitay (they/them) is a genre-spanning vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who began studying classical piano and voice at the age of seven, and hasn't stopped learning since. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music, the emphasis of their study was education & performance. As an educator, Rae believes in combining a strong musical vocabulary with passion and creativity, along with highly tailored lessons and practice techniques.

While at Berklee, Rae was a drummer and vocalist for Berklee's Metal Ensemble and String Metal Ensemble. They also served as a vocalist for the Tower of Power ensemble, one of the most selective performance groups at the college. Honing their ability to learn and master challenging songs by ear as well as with charts and notation, Rae also considers vocal harmonies a particular strength.

Graduating a year early to begin their professional music career in the "real" world, they immediately began an intense schedule of touring and recording. In 2015, they started their own private studio and began teaching drums, piano, and voice to children and adults of all skill levels.
