Mary Richardson
After her siblings taught her how to play the theme to Winnie the Pooh, Mary began taking piano lessons at the age of 4. She studied classical piano throughout her school years, while accompanying Jazz Choirs, vocal soloists, and performing in local piano competitions. After receiving her Bachelor's in Music Business from Columbia College in Chicago, Mary relocated to the Nashville area to work in the music industry and used her free time to practice.
Like many others, the pandemic inspired Mary to want to pursue old passions. After returning to her hometown of Chicago, she sought out lessons for herself once again and dreamed of sharing her love of the instrument with others. She pursued private teaching again and has been loving it ever since!
Mary believes strongly that we learn best when we're enjoying what we're doing. She strives to keep lessons welcoming and fun so that students can learn to love the piano at a pace that best fits them.
