Kaitlyn Sibre

Flute

Kaitlyn Sibre (she/her) believes music is a powerful connector- to ourselves and to others. Her teaching emphasizes patience, curiosity, and mindful practice, helping students build confidence and strong fundamentals while enjoying the process of learning. She encourages students to approach challenges with openness and to see mistakes as opportunities for growth. Whether a student is just beginning, preparing for auditions, or returning to music later in life, Kaitlyn tailors her lessons to each individual’s goals, creating a supportive and creative environment where growth and self-expression can thrive.

Based in Chicago, Kaitlyn is an active flutist and flute repair technician. She has performed with the New World Symphony as a substitute musician and with local ensembles including Symphony 847, Lake Shore Symphony Orchestra, World Ballet, the Chicago Wind Symphony, and Kokandy musical theatre productions at the Chopin Theatre. In addition to performing, she works at Flute Asylum, specializing in professional flute repair and bringing a player-focused approach to her craft.

Kaitlyn holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Music from Temple University, where she studied with Stefan Hoskuldsson (Berlin Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony), Patrick Williams (Philadelphia Orchestra), and Adeline Tomasone.
